I took Jeremiah to the doctor this morning for a hearing test and follow up with the surgeon who performed his mastoidectomy. I was very pleased with the way everything went. His hearing test score was 100%. He does have to follow up in a year, I believe becasue of the age he was when he had the surgery. The surgeon then saw him and Jeremiah literally made his day. Jeremiah was as pleasant as could be (remember, he developed a great fear of all doctor types while he was in the hospital) and allowed Dr. Gadre to do all his little tests and examinations with no problem. As we were leaving Dr. Gadre held out his hand to 'give me five' and Jeremiah ran and hugged him. The doctor laughed and just went on and on about what a great little guy he was and how Jeremiah made his whole day. We do have a three month follow up to monitor the ear tubes but this appointment could not have been any more positive.
