Jeremiah Update
I took Jeremiah to the doctor this morning for a hearing test and follow up with the surgeon who performed his mastoidectomy. I was very pleased with the way everything went. His hearing test score was 100%. He does have to follow up in a year, I believe becasue of the age he was when he had the surgery. The surgeon then saw him and Jeremiah literally made his day. Jeremiah was as pleasant as could be (remember, he developed a great fear of all doctor types while he was in the hospital) and allowed Dr. Gadre to do all his little tests and examinations with no problem. As we were leaving Dr. Gadre held out his hand to 'give me five' and Jeremiah ran and hugged him. The doctor laughed and just went on and on about what a great little guy he was and how Jeremiah made his whole day. We do have a three month follow up to monitor the ear tubes but this appointment could not have been any more positive.

Welcome to the 7th annual JdR Friends and Family Football Pool.
The game is simple: Pick winners of each NFL game each week. You win points according to how many 'confidence points' you assigned each pick. The game is regular season only.
Rules:
1. Everyone pays by kickoff of Week Two, no exceptions. The fee is $25 for the season. Cash, check and, yes, even PayPal accepted.
2. The Yahoo! Site breaks all ties, keeps all scores and settles all disputes.
3. Trash talking on the message board is not only acceptable, it is encouraged.
4. Lowest week's score will dropped.
Payout:
1. Each weak is worth $1.
2. A Perfect week is worth an extra $5
3. Remaining pot goes to overall winner.
4. Winners are payed by an old fashioned check, mailed by old fashioned mail within three days of the final game of the regular season.
(Example: If 17 players buy in at $25 the pot is $425. A dollar goes to each high score of the week, leaving $408. Say three perfect weeks are recorded, that will be an additional $15, leaving the overall winner with a $393 jackpot. Obviously the overall winner will likely win a few individual weeks. There also may not be any perfect weeks. This payout system is new, and designed to keep the pool interesting even for those who have no realistic chance of winning in the last weeks of the season.)
Tips:
1. Sign in to the game site a few times before the season kicks off and get used to it. It is simple to use but you don't want a computer glitch to get you off to a bad start. You have the option of having email reminders mailed to you.
2. Don't wait til the last minute to make your picks. The computer will allow you to make picks up til 5 minutes before a game kicks off, but again, don't let a computer glitch ruin a week of picks.
3. Bring on a friend or coworker to join you in the game. The more the merrier, as long as they pay by week two they are welcome. Forward them this email or send me their address and I'l invite them.
4. Only one week winner each week, so be sure to do tiebreaker questions!
5. Be sure to introduce yourself on the message board, makes it more fun and interesting when everyone 'knows' one another
